The APU of AMD’s top-tier processor is performing quite well in Battlefield 5, which has not yet reached its final release.
AMD’s latest Ryzen APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) come with astonishingly powerful graphics processing capabilities, especially on the Ryzen 5 2400G.
How do these performers perform in games?
WccfTech answers this question by testing Battlefield 5 Beta which will be released in the near future. The results are quite surprising: the Ryzen 5 2400G is capable of handling 30 frames per second when played with game 1080p resolution and mid-level graphics details. This result corresponds to the smallest FPS acceptable today for video game playability. WccfTech then reduces the game’s resolution to 75% and achieves 45 frames per second with a gain of 15 FPS.
Even though the most adequate number for video games is 60 FPS, even the highest-end graphics cards can not achieve this in every game. Besides that Battlefield 5 is an incomplete game; it will be a lot of optimization to be done during the development phase. That means we can see better FPS values with the Ryzen 5 2400G in the final version of the game.
Playing games at 30 FPS with mid-level graphics details is not ideal, but it is a very reasonable option for many players.
